Article Is still Under Construction - Images Missing

The Road to California Quilter's Conference and Showcase is scheduled for the Ontario Convention Center from January 17-20, 2024. I have attended the show for years and always enjoy the event. Whether I fly or drive to the site, I always enjoy spending time checking out the quilts and the vendors. Here are the four "S"pectacular reasons to attend this show.

Sellers

Over 120+ vendors are expected to be at the show. I always like seeing things in person. It is also a chance to ask questions directly with the seller. Many of these sellers won't be at any other similar show in the region this year. There are great buys at the show, so plan on lugging home plenty of must-haves.

Selection of Classes

This year's catalog of classes ranges from traditional to modern quilting and includes over 125 classes. The approachable instructors are favorite award winners. So many classes are offered, the show must offer some classes beginning on Monday, January 15, two days before the show starts. Many of these in-depth classes are full-day or half-day in length. The deadline to register for a course is January 6, 2024, but if you miss the deadline, you can try to register for an open slot in person starting on January 15. Free admission to the vendor hall is included with the class.

Site

This event is conveniently located ten minutes from the Ontario, California airport, with plenty of flights. Or if you drive to the show, it is easy access off the freeways. There are seven host hotels near the convention center, with reasonable rates.

Quilt

Showcase of Quilts

The show also has a quilt contest with nearly $60,000 in cash prizes. The quilts are presented in 10 categories. These quilts demonstrate the tremendous skill and design of the creators. The quilts are a highlight of my visit. The show producers do a great job carefully displaying these quilts, and the worthy award winners are fantastic. The displayed quilts are one of the highlights for me while attending this four-day event.
