Austin Sewing - Round Rock, TX

Austin Sewing in Round Rock, Texas has been in their new larger quarters for about a year. A large sales floor with 5 brands of sewing machines greets the customer. They have long arms, do machine repair, and teach lots of classes. The classroom is quite large with lots of sample quilts. They are also a drop-off spot for Project Linus.

I found tons of fabric including cork, mesh and diaper flannel. I just had to ask! Diaper flannel is used to make diapers (they weren’t that nice in my day!), but also to make burp cloths, wipes, etc. There are many kits offered. They have many thread brands and a wall of notions. There is also a wall of pre-cuts. A bargain shelf has fabric for 50% off and they sell a bag of scraps for $5.

Austin Sewing is also an Accuquilt dealer and have many dies to offer. The store is well staffed, and I found myself thinking, "This store will meet your needs!"
