QuiltingHub - Shut down Announcement

QuiltingHub is All or Nothing

The QuiltingHub Advertising Network (QAN) and all of the newsletters have reiterated for years that it is to be the most accurate and complete quilting resources website in the world. It is community maintained in which YOU the community add, report errors (to the listing owners), and maintain the content to 100% accuracy and completeness. To that end, 2025 is the year that QAN is declaring all or nothing. Either You, the community completes the listings by August 1, 2025, or we shut down the entire QAN from all public use on October 1, 2025. We do not maintain the content, you do. You are the only people who know if ALL of your local resources (shops, museums, services, guilds, shows, and brands) are listed or not. Each month between now and August 1st, 2025, please email us at quiltinghub@gmail.com if ANY listing is missing (and also tell the person who should list it). If any listing is reported missing of any type by August 1, 2025, the shut down process will begin.

On October 1, 2025

"I, Paul Johnson, have reached Retirement Age, and it is time to either pack up and quit or sell the entire QuiltingHub Advertising Network to someone else. This includes All the websites in the Network. This means all the sites are for sale (as a whole complete set) to someone looking to expand their empire or to take the reins and continue quilting world domination of the QuiltingHub Advertising Network. If the sites are SOLD before September 1, 2025; the QAN will be moved to a new company and owner. If not, the shut down process will begin September 1, 2025.

QuiltingHub Advertising Network 9/1/2025

The QAN will shut down to all quilters beginning 10/1/2025. Beginning 9/1/2025, all member advertisers will begin to change from member listings to free (non upgradable) non member listings to stop billing. If any member customers are billed and paid after 9/1/2025, the amount billed going past 10/1/2025 will be refunded as soon as the billing is detected. No new member listings or conversions to member listings will be welcomed (if the sites have not been sold and changed hands to a new owner).

QuiltingHub Advertising Network 10/1/2025

Without a new owner, the QAN will shut down to everyone beginning 10/1/2025. All listing content will no longer be available, viewable, or billed. The only things that might prevent the shut down is either a sale of the QAN or a massive attempt by all quilters to improve the free and member listings to 100% listed (as seen in the first paragraph). If ALL shops, museums, online shops, brands, services, and quilt guilds are listed on the site; the QAN will continue. To accomplish this every quilter will have to make sure that ALL their local quilting resources are listed. If one is not listed, tell the listing owner via phone or email to get it listed or the QAN will cease to exist. We have been stating this over and over that the QAN is only as accurate as you make it. If you do not make it accurate, then your community QAN will be leaving you on 10/1/2025 because you did not want to share your resources with the quilting world.

How we will determine incompleteness and decide to shut down

Any one of the following will consistent with incompleteness:

  • If any one of you reports via email to quiltinghub@gmail.com a listing that is not listed and it is still not listed by 8/1/2025
  • If less than 50% of the existing quilting shops (and online shops) are not member listings.
  • If any one quilting related brand (you might find in a quilt shop or online shop) is not listed as a member listing that quilt shops can click they carry as a brand in their shop.
  • If any one quilting service provider is missing from listing anywhere in the world.
  • If any one quilting museum is missing from listing anywhere in the world.
  • If any one quilting guild or group is missing from listing anywhere in the world.
  • If any one meeting for quilting guild or group is missing from listing anywhere in the world.
  • If any one quilting show is missing from listing anywhere in the world over the next 3 years.
100Percent

How to prevent shut down:

  • If you detect any missing or incorrect information, contact the listing owners and get them to add or correct it at once. Do not delay. Do not assume someone else will report it or fix it. For errors, the easiest thing to do is to click “No” next to ‘is this listing accurate?’ on the quiltinghub.com website of that listing. The sister sites do not support error reporting. You must be a registered user to report errors so that your name will appear in the report to the listing owners and they can tell it is real.
  • Buy the QAN way before 9/1/2025
